Cookies

You won't see a cookie banner on Indieable. Not because we forgot — because banners are only required for tracking and advertising cookies, and we don't set any. Every cookie we use is strictly necessary to run the site, which the law doesn't require consent for. This page lists all of them. If a cookie isn't listed here, we don't set it.

The complete list

That's the whole list. If you never sign in — which includes every playtester — Indieable sets no cookies at all.

What we use instead of tracking

  • Testers get signed, expiring links (for feedback, check-ins, and the tester portal) instead of being cookied.
  • The apply form can remember your details in your browser's localStorage — that copy stays on your device and never reaches our servers except when you submit.
  • Site analytics are cookieless and aggregate (Vercel Analytics): no identifier, no profile, nothing that follows you anywhere.
  • Per-game view counts record the game and the event — not your IP address or any identifier.

Third parties

There are no third-party embeds, pixels, or tracking scripts on this site. Payments happen on Stripe's own checkout pages — any cookies there are set by stripe.com under Stripe's policy. Links out to Steam, itch.io, Discord, and developers' own sites are just links.

If this ever changes

If we ever add something that needs consent — say, an advertising pixel or embedded video — we'll ship a real consent flow first and update this page and the Privacy Policy before it goes live, not after.
